PSA Diabetes

Below is my third milestone for Disease class, we made a Public Service Announcement (PSA).  My PSA was about Diabetes in the United States of America.  Below you can see my script, and listen to my PSA!

Attention, this public service announcement is about Diabetes in the United States of America.  Diabetes affects millions of Americans and is usually gotten by people who are obese and cannot move you sugar into fat, liver, and muscle cells to be stored as energy.  Stay healthy and stay away from diabetes!

JH’s Rebuilding Project on Ground Zero

The purpose of this project was to share my idea of what building should go where Ground Zero stands.  My project was inspired by a Zen Garden in Kyoto, Japan, called Ryoan-ji which was created for Buddhists by the Fujiwar family in the 11th Century.  In this Zen Garden, they used the sound of water, and the feel of sand to create peace.  This building builds peace, because the whole idea of a Zen garden is to bring peace, and serenity.  This building gives peace and closure to those who lost someone on 9/11.

Birth Rates in the USA

I created this science poster in my population class, it is our third milestone. I did my poster to identify the birth rates in the USA. We used the equation N=NsE^(kt). N is defined as the projection of populations, Ns is the starting population, and Kt is the birth rate.  From my research, you can see that the birth rate in America is affected by the economy.  Please see poster below for more details.

Mi Autobiografía

I have learned quite a bit of Spanish through writing this autobiography.  It has helped me with male/female forms and verb conjugations a lot.

Mi nombre es JH, yo voy a GCE Chicago.  Yo soy alto, y yo tengo pelo rubio.  Me gusta jugar baloncesto, futbol, y otros desportes mas.  Yo tengo quince años.  Mi comida favorita es pollo.  Yo me despierto a las seis en la mañana.  Yo juego baloncesto en la mañana y juego baloncesto por un hora.  Entonces, yo voy a matemáticas.  Mi clase favorita es español.  Yo dejo mi escuela a las cinco en la noche.  Entonces yo voy a mi casa para cena.  Los fines de semana yo voy a la casa de mi padre en Grayslake.  Yo juego con mis hermanos en la casa de mi padre.  Yo tengo una hermana, su nombre es Madison, ella tiene cuatro años.  Mi otra hermana, su nombre es Kennedy y ella tiene seis meses.  Yo tengo un hermano, su nombre es Cody, el tiene dos años.

Cuando yo crezco yo quiero trabajar como un diseñador gráfico.  Yo quiero una empresa propia.
