Year End Celebration
Student Portfolios
New & Improved Facilities!!!
On May 26 at 1pm we will celebrate the end of our first full year.
Three weeks from today, sixteen students will celebrate their accomplishments from this school year. Together, we’ve grown in amazing ways: curriculum, systems, staff, board, donors, partners, and of course students. We know now, without a doubt, that the Global Citizenship Experience is a thing worth pursuing. GCE Chicago high school has already made a difference in the lives of students.

Please take a look at GCE Voices to see and respond to insightful and moving student work. Student posts include nonviolent protest letters, bomba sonnets, personal narratives, critical essays, stop-motion videos, podcasts, and much more. New and Improved Facilities
Little red school-house no more…GCE moves into the Menomonee Club Drucker Center on June 1st; there are photos of the facility on the hyperlinked page and you can click the “Drucker Center Floor Plan” link and you can scroll for additional pictures of the facility. GCE will exclusively use a few thousand square feet of classroom and office space as well as share use of two gyms, dance studios, rec rooms, and generally benefit from a much improved location immediately off of the Clybourn and North Ave CTA red line stop.
Many thanks to all GCE students and families. This has been an amazing first year and we’ve already laid the groundwork for exceptional improvements coming this fall. In fact, while our students bask in summer’s glow, our staff jumps back into the deep end of work on July 6th.
Warm regards,
GCE Team
