As we are beginning our Organizational Systems and Models class, we are defining what systems and models are. It’s important to start out by understanding how systems thinking is unique and the disciplines that underlie the thinking. Models are important to accompany systems learning because a system isn’t a linear idea and models provide a way to convey the structure of a system. We have created our own flowcharts to explain what systems and models are, what they are like and to provide a few real-life examples of them. Below are the charts:
