I chose Martin Luther King because he had the courage to stand up for something he believed in. Even though everyone knew that the way blacks were being treated was wrong, he stood up to racist America and told them what he believed in. He fought for his cause until the day he was murdered…. The courage and strength for what he believed in is what I admired about him. I believe that Martin Luther King related to Antigone because they both stood up for something they believed in no matter the cost. Both died doing what they believed in and both stood up against the bigger side. They both had the courage to stand up for what they believed what was right, they just had different motives. I believe that this has widened my eyes to what courage really does. Both Martin Luther King and Antigone knew what the consequences were but they stood up for what they really believed what was right. This project has made me rethink the definition of dedication.

I have a dream that one day our nation will rise up to the belief that all men were created equal. I have a dream today that one day in the state of Mississippi a state crawling with the heat of injustice, will be transformed into an land of freedom and justice. I have a dream that one day you will work with me on this, and that our nation can become truly equal. And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village, from every state and every city, at that point we will be able to live in harmony together without fear of racism, prejudice, and discrimination. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream. A dream that we will all be able to live in harmony a dream that each individual will be treated as equal as the next and that we can rise up together to create peace amongst each other.
