In my Design and Engineering class, we had to build a water station for our first action project. The basis for this project was to build a water station and film a video that shows its functionality. We also had to make a SlideRocket that would allow the people who watch it to build their own. The SlideRocket consisted of eight slides showing our use of the steps making up the engineering process. With an extra slide, we applied the Bernoulli equation and our current ITP level. I’m really proud and thankful for how well our water station worked considering the limited materials and resources. The most that I’ve cherished is the experience of working with low-cost/scavenged materials to build something that is simple, yet extremely useful to an underdeveloped country or territory.
