In our second unit of Design and Engineering class, we had to design and build a working solar panel. The purpose of this project was to understand how solar panels work and why they are the better choice when it comes to conserving energy. With the simple step by step instructions and a couple of  easy to access materials, we were able to make a home made solar panel. We tested this by using a heat lamp to warm up the water.
