For the second unit of our design and engineering course, we built a solar panel as part of our study of sustainable energy. We researched the benefits and disadvantages of solar power, then built our own panel to test how well it could heat water. Although we encountered some difficulties in the construction, I learned a lot about the technicalities of building. I liked seeing how the calculations compared to what was actually happening with our panel. Below is my presentation of the process we followed to build and test the solar panel.
