For our design and engineering class, we looked into another clean energy alternative. We built a basic, home made wind turbine and learned about it’s benefits and setbacks, and how to build one. To do this we sculpted small pieces of cardboard to act as the devices to catch the wind. We attached this to a series of wires that led to a motor. Overall, it seems as though wind turbines are extremely beneficial if built in bulk, not on small scale.
