In my Art of Rhetoric class, we were asked to create an appeal that represented Pathos.  When this project was first introduced I had a really hard time wrapping my head around the concept of it and how to represent my cause. During this process, I was forced to engage rhetorical strategies to make an appeal for me. These include logos (making a logical appeal, presenting facts), to ethos (proving I was qualified to make this case), and lastly tug on people’s emotional strings to make my best case. Erika’s Lighthouse is a charity I care a lot about, bringing depression out of the dark is something that is very important to me; hopefully my appeal does a good job showing my passion and making a case for contributing to my cause…  Below is my presentation, please check it out!
