In the first part of the FUEL course, we had to research about an energy producing natural resource. We also had to research about chemical reactions, how the cycle is like the circle of life, and 3 stages of the creation and regeneration of our chosen natural resource. We learned about the process of petroleum, and how fuel can be used to make energy. I also learned about the input of energy which comes from renewable and non-renewable sources. I am really proud of learning and researching the process of petroleum and how the cycle works. The process begins where pentane C5H12 to Octane C8H18 to nonane C9H20 to Hexadecane C16H34 into diesel fuel, kerosene and jet fuel to energy to smoke and the last piece is soot. The cycle goes around and it keeps making petroleum and it will never stop going on forever and ever.
