I am from Evanston, Illinois. I am currently attending Global Citizenship Experience (GCE). This is an alternative high school located in Chicago, Illinois. I had been attending Evanston Township High School through my freshman year and part of my Sophomore year. I have always been an alternative learner, in that I have benefited most from classrooms where teachers used more "hands-on learning" strategies versus the more traditional methods of teaching. I found myself very frustrated with traditional public school. Since attending GCE (November, 2011), I have had the opportunity to reshape my educational experience. I love learning and learn best when I am able to fully involve myself in the subject matter.
