Technologia en la futuro

For our final Action Project in Spanish (Escuela) we designed a lesson in spanish.  My topic was about how technology will change in the future and how it will help us.  The most difficult part of this project was finding a video to use, and then once I found it I had to edit the video and include my information.  I’ve learned a lot about how technology will change in the future ant how we will be able to benefit from it.  Check out my lesson plan and video below!

School relationships past, present, and future

For our second milestone in Escuela (Spanish) we created a podcast about student-teacher relationships. I learned a lot of past and future tenses in Spanish from this project. The most difficult part was researching how student-teacher relationships were in the past. This project overall has been extremely helpful because I’ve learned a lot of Spanish.

For my Spanish class (Escuela) we made a presentation on how schools have changed in the past.  The most difficult part was trying to translate everything into Spanish.  After finishing this project I’ve learned a lot about how schools used to be, and also have started to research what schools will be like in the future.

Los escuelas tenian un habitación. Los maestros eran muy jóvenes, tan joven como ocho años. Los personas aprendieron tres materia solamente, lectura, escritura y aritmética. Los estudiantes tenían un maestro solamente. La escuela tenían niños a todos siglos. Los maestros enseñarlas tres temas solamente. Dos estudiantes esta sentaron en un escritorio. Los estudiantes tenían maestro solamente.

Hay más escuelas en Chicago. Hay 404,151 estudiantes en Chicago Escuela Públicas. Hay 106 escuelas secundarias en Chicago. Más estudiantes sientan en pupitres. Las escuelas privada son muy diferente. Todos las escuelas tiene un equipo deportivo, GCE tiene un muy buen equipo de baloncesto.

Los escuelas en el futuro va a tener muy bien tecnología. Todos los estudiantes van a tener computadoras. Todos los estudiantes van a tener un iPad tambien. Todos los aulas van a tener un Smart Board. También, todos los aulas van a tener mucha mejor tecnología. Todos las escuelas van a tener solares paneles y muy ecológico edificios.

JH Mi Memoria

For my Spanish class (casa) we wrote a story of our favorite memory at home, in Spanish.  We did this to better understand how to use past-tense and how to describe housing objects in Spanish.  I did this by thinking of a memory, writing it out in english, and then trying to tell the same story in spanish.  I haven’t used past-tense much before so it was an extremely difficult task.  See my story below!

 

Memorias de mi casa (v2) Mi memoria es hace ocho años. Mi madre trabaja todo la dia, y mi abuela trabaja todo la dia. Despues mi madre nesecita contratar un niñera. El nombre de mi niñera es Emma, ella tiene 19 años. Un dia todos estamos aburridos después, nosotros hacemos un nuevo juego. Yo juego dodgeball en el comedor con mi niñera, es el más divertido del mundo. Yo buceo, salto y me escondo, nunca se lesionó. Dodgeball se convirtió en mi juego favorito. Ponemos mantas en el suelo porque cuando yo buceo no me duele. La asombrosa parte de la historia es que nunca se rompió nada! Tuvimos más divertido que cualquier persona, y no usamos la electrónica! Esto me recuerda cómo la gente divertía sin necesidad de utilizar la tecnología.

For our Spanish class (Casa) we made a tour of our house in Spanish. We did this to explain the importance and significance of our house to the world. For this project I had to do research on the history of my house and write a script in Spanish. Through my research I’ve learned a lot about the history of my house and the neighborhood I live in. I’ve also learned a lot of Spanish regarding household items, rooms, and more. Feel free to look at the video below to see my tour!

In spanish class our assignment was to explain what culture is, this is what I think it is.
Culture. I think culture directly influences how people live on a daily basis. Whether it be going to church, to playing basketball; culture is what you make of it. Culture is also adapting to the times we live in constantly. To me culture is the clothes I wear, the way I’m taught and the time I spend with my famliy. To other people it can be religion, food, and plenty of other factors that decide how people live their life. How does culture change the way you life your life?

I have learned quite a bit of Spanish through writing this autobiography.  It has helped me with male/female forms and verb conjugations a lot.

Mi nombre es JH, yo voy a GCE Chicago.  Yo soy alto, y yo tengo pelo rubio.  Me gusta jugar baloncesto, futbol, y otros desportes mas.  Yo tengo quince años.  Mi comida favorita es pollo.  Yo me despierto a las seis en la mañana.  Yo juego baloncesto en la mañana y juego baloncesto por un hora.  Entonces, yo voy a matemáticas.  Mi clase favorita es español.  Yo dejo mi escuela a las cinco en la noche.  Entonces yo voy a mi casa para cena.  Los fines de semana yo voy a la casa de mi padre en Grayslake.  Yo juego con mis hermanos en la casa de mi padre.  Yo tengo una hermana, su nombre es Madison, ella tiene cuatro años.  Mi otra hermana, su nombre es Kennedy y ella tiene seis meses.  Yo tengo un hermano, su nombre es Cody, el tiene dos años.

Cuando yo crezco yo quiero trabajar como un diseñador gráfico.  Yo quiero una empresa propia.

 

Interview with my Mom

I interviewed my mom for a few reasons: she knows a lot about me, she is someone to look up to, and she has very interesting stories to share. I included this piece because it means a lot to me. It tells some stories that I never knew about me, and I find it interesting. It made me proud to hear stories about myself as a baby, and as a younger kid. Also, hearing the names I could have been made me think if I would be different, or look different because of a different name. I also learned that I didn’t sleep through the night for about five years, which Is definitely something abnormal.
